Jeremy Zay

Software engineer and machine learning researcher. I build whole products, from the model to the interface.

I graduated from Wesleyan in 2026 with majors in computer science, mathematics and integrative sciences. I like owning a thing end to end: the research, the backend, the interface, the tests, and the release.

Everything linked from this site I designed and built myself: two apps on the App Store, an AlphaZero-style chess engine, generative models that design drug candidates, and the site itself, an impossible-geometry scene written in WebGL with its own shaders, served by a Flask app with its own editor behind it.

2026
Software Engineer Intern, Chatham Financial. Built Curve Explorer in ONYX Pro.
2024–2026
Lab Researcher, Thayer Lab, Wesleyan. Guided diffusion models for protein-targeted molecule generation in PyTorch; candidates reached −8.76 kcal/mol against p53 Y220C.
2022–2026
Teaching Assistant, Wesleyan. Four core CS courses (Python, C, AI, HPC), 100+ students.
Wesleyan University
BA, Computer Science, Mathematics and Integrative Sciences, 2026. GPA 3.76.

There is a longer story about where I come from, for anyone curious.
